Summer at Flockhill

Summer has officially arrived, and we open our doors for the season on December 16th! With just two weeks to go, the team is buzzing with anticipation for our first season. 

  Welcome to the Lodge Insider, your seasonal guide to all things Flockhill. It's our final newsletter before we're officially open- let's jump in. 

Sugarloaf is Flockhill's brand-new restaurant, opening its doors to lodge guests on the 16th. We had the pleasure of working with Australian photographer, Jason Loucas, to capture the restaurant's first look and offerings. With breakfast, lunch, and dinner included in your room rate, Sugarloaf delivers a world-class dining experience designed to delight.   

Starting in the garden, our produce is mainly grown on-site or foraged from the land. The kitchen team has been hard at work preserving this season's harvest, ensuring we can sustain the restaurant through the winter months. A ferment library has begun to take shape, sparking curiosity during sneak peek tours of the kitchen.  

For guests with a passion for food- don't miss out on our Sugarloaf activities. After the festive season, we'll introduce cooking classes and chef's table dining- curated add-ons that each provide immersive, hands-on experiences from the fire kitchen bench.
